Special Programs

Youth Mentoring Program
This program uses psychological interventions and approaches to impact positive change in the personal, social, academic, vocational, health, spiritual, and moral development of the youth. The program targets all youth between ages 9 and 23 years. It has a Psycho-education and psychological support components.

Marital and Family Enrichment Program
The program aims at equipping marriages and families for more effective functioning. It comprises of premarital coaching, mentoring and empowerment of marriages and families through various developmental stages.

Special Needs Program
The program is designed for professionals and lay persons who deal with psychological needs of persons with special needs and disabilities. The program also directly facilitates psychological health to persons with special needs and disabilities.

Addiction Treatment Program
It is currently an outpatient program that targets treatment of addictive behaviors. These addictions include: Drugs and Alcohol dependency, Sex addiction, Work addiction, Gabbling addiction, codependency and other compulsories. Key components include: therapy for the addicted, sessions with the family and after care support.

HIV Prevention, Care and Support Program
The program provides psychological support to the infected and affected. Its key components include: psychological care and support for the patient, empowerment of caregivers and voluntary preventive strategies.

Depression Treatment
The counseling department is recording a gradual rise in depression cases.
The program aims at psychological treatment for the patient and sessions with the patient’s family. Counselors work consistently with the psychiatrists for best result in depression management.

Disaster Management
Past disasters in this country (Kenya) and need for effective psychological response has necessitated the development of this facility. The members are volunteer counselors who are well equipped in psychological debriefing and critical incident psychological interventions. They are called upon during times of disaster. It is a service to affected persons, communities and organizations.
